Jeff Gibbs Remote Sensing Lab 4 blog 5/14/2020 Goal and background: Over the course of this lab, I was instructed to learn and practice numerous techniques related to image manipulation in remote sensing. Among these skills were subsetting an image, image fusion, working with radiometric enhancement, connecting satellite images to google earth, resampling satellite images, image mosaicking, and graphical modeling. Methodology: First, to learn about image subsetting, I used an image and shapefile of Eau Claire. I overlaid the image onto the shapefile and saved it as an AOI file. I then clicked Raster, and Subset and Chip to create a subsetted image. Next, I followed steps to perform image fusion between two images: ec_cpw_2000.img and ec_cpw_2000pan.img. I added both images to a new Erdas Imagine. After this, I clicked Raster, Pan sharpen , and Resolution merge. I put in the appropriate settings, saved the new image in my lab 4 fo...
